HockeyFiller gives your rink its own shinny booking site. Players reserve and pay you directly, unreserve before your cutoff, and scan in at the front desk — while you do nothing.
Spreadsheets, e-transfers and "reply-all if you're in" leave money on the boards. No-shows don't pay, last-minute drop-outs never get replaced, and new players can't find you. Run the numbers for your rink:
How it works
Set it once. It fills itself.
1
Post your ice
Add a weekly schedule — "Tuesdays 9:30 PM, 20 skaters, 2 goalies, $15, cancel up to 24h before." One click generates the next weeks.
2
Players reserve
Players sign up on your rink's own site, reserve and pay (card, wallet or at the rink), and can unreserve until your cutoff. The waitlist fills any gaps.
3
Scan & play
At the rink, players hold their phone to your webcam kiosk. Card payments were captured at the cutoff and are already in your Stripe account.
Everything shinny needs
Built for the front desk and the bench.
Paid before they lace up
Players pay when they reserve — by card, from a prepaid wallet, or (on Arena) at the rink. Card money lands straight in your own Stripe account.
Your cutoff, your rules
Set how many hours before puck-drop players can still unreserve. Cards are only authorized until then, so a cancellation costs nobody a fee. At the cutoff it's charged.
Goalies are first-class
Separate goalie spots and rates — free by default. Set 2 goalies and 20 skaters, or any n and n you like.
Webcam check-in kiosk
Players hold their phone up to the front-desk webcam. Green flash, name on screen, done. No app download, no clipboard.
Kids without phones
Parents add kids to their account and print a QR card — or the kid just types a 6-character code at the kiosk.
Your own site & app
Every arena gets its own booking site at hockeyfiller.com/your-rink — your name, your schedule, your players — installable as an app on their phones.
Waitlists that fill themselves
Someone drops out? The next player on the waitlist is auto-booked from their wallet and notified. Full ice, zero phone calls.
Locker-room chat
Every session gets its own chat for rides, jersey colours and “who's got the extra stick”. Arena staff can moderate.
Installs like an app
Both the player app and the arena app are PWAs — add to home screen, works on any phone, tablet or front-desk PC.
Welcome, Ava!Skater · 9:30 PM Shinny
Front-desk kiosk
Hold up your phone. You're in.
Turn any webcam into a check-in station. Players show the QR in their HockeyFiller pass; kids type a 6-character code or carry a printed card. Your roster updates live, so you know exactly who's on the ice.
Works on any browser with a camera
Manual code entry for kids and dead phones
Live roster with checked-in / no-show status
For players
Your rink. Your app. Your players.
Every arena gets its own booking site and installable app — times, spots left, goalie openings, price. Players reserve in two taps, unreserve before the cutoff, show a QR at the desk and chat with the locker room. Playing at more than one HockeyFiller rink? One linked login works at both.
A 20-skater shinny at $15 grosses $300 — paid straight into your Stripe account. You set every player rate and time; we take a small application fee. Prices in USD.
Community
Start filling ice tonight. You pay nothing until players pay you.
Booking fee applies to card and wallet payments through your Stripe account. Stripe's own processing fees are charged by Stripe — or passed on to players if you choose. No fee on pay-at-rink or free goalie spots.
Questions from the front desk
How do players pay?
You connect your own Stripe account and players pay you directly — per session by card, or from a prepaid wallet if you offer one. On the Arena plan you can also let players reserve now and pay at the rink. HockeyFiller only takes a small application fee on card payments.
What happens if a player cancels?
Before your cutoff (say, 24 hours before puck-drop) the card authorization or wallet hold is released and the spot goes to the waitlist. After the cutoff the spot is paid — no refunds unless you choose to remove them.
Do goalies pay?
Only if you want them to. Every session has separate goalie spots and a goalie rate, which defaults to free.
What do I need at the front desk?
Any laptop, tablet or PC with a webcam and a browser. Open the kiosk screen, and players scan their phone's QR. Kids can type a code or use a printed card.
Do players sign up with HockeyFiller or with us?
With you. Players sign up on your arena's own site and they're your players. If someone also plays at another HockeyFiller arena, they can link the two accounts so one login works at both.
Is there an app to download?
No app store required. The player and arena apps are installable web apps (PWAs) that work on iPhone, Android and desktop.
Can I set my own prices and times?
Always. You set skater price, goalie price, roster sizes, cancellation window and the schedule — one-off sessions or a recurring weekly template.
How do I get paid?
Directly. Card and wallet payments go into your own Stripe account and Stripe pays out to your bank on your schedule. HockeyFiller never holds your money — we just take the application fee for your plan.
